The private, offline PDF editor for iPhone
Sheaf does everything on your iPhone. Your documents are never uploaded, there's no account to create, and it works with no signal at all.
What "on-device" means here
Every tool in Sheaf runs on your iPhone using Apple's built-in frameworks: editing, form filling, conversion, text recognition (OCR), compression and redaction. Your files stay in the app's private storage on your phone until you delete them. We don't run servers that could receive them, and we never get a copy.
What you can do, offline
- Edit PDFs like a document: change text, add text in six styles, images, drawings, highlights and shapes. How to edit a PDF on iPhone
- Edit tables without breaking them: type into a cell and the row grows to fit. How to edit a PDF table
- Fill and sign forms: the blanks light up, Next takes you through them, and your signature lands on the line. How to fill and sign a PDF
- Convert: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pages, photos and more to PDF, and PDF back to Word or JPG. How to convert to PDF
- Organize: merge, split, reorder, rotate and delete pages.
- Compress big scans so they fit in an email, and Protect a PDF with a password.
- Pro tools: OCR Scan, Redact (removes content from the file for good) and Batch.
Who it's for
People whose PDFs are private: contracts, invoices, payslips, medical letters, ID documents. If you'd rather not send those to someone else's server just to change a date or add a signature, an on-device editor is the simpler choice.
